You couldn’t invent it!!! – Classic Cars go Bangers and Smash
The latest craze in the Banger racing world comes to Hednesford Hills Raceway this Sunday … the astonishingClassic Car Demolition Derby!! Over one hundred pre-1968 ‘classic’ cars will be taking to the race track; to smash and crash their way through the biggest event of its type in the country. Breath-taking vintage machinery will be indulging in a festival of racing and wrecking that would make the average car enthusiast wince! Organiser Mark Bond told us ‘Whether you love the thought of Classic Car Banger Racing or not, it will be an exciting day of family entertainment! The drivers are exceptional and have prepared wonderful racing cars … this amazingly eccentric event will see 100s of wonderful cars going out in blaze of glory; before they head off to the scrapheap in the sky!’
Banger racing attracts larger crowds to events than any other form of live spectator motorsport – and the Classic Banger meeting at Hednesford Hills Raceway will bring thousands of Banger Racing fans from across the Country into the area, as well as attracting a big crowd from the Midlands region.
There will also be a Classic Car display at this exciting event for those who prefer restoring Britain’s motoring heritage rather than wrecking it!
The Classic Banger Demolition Derby Day takes place at Hednesford Hills Raceway, near Cannock, this Sunday (5thOctober) – start time 1pm.
